BULLHORN, Boss Moxi, Requin, HRBRT, Great Sage

Boss Moxi are happy to announce their "10th Anniversary Show" at The Triffid, bringing the full scope of the live band back together again. Set to feature all the immense full-scale live show elements, fans should expect the unexpected. From aberrant on-stage visuals to immersive mid crowd performances, the anniversary event will showcase cuts from debut album Oddball alongside "Her Majesty" (Out August 22nd), the first taste of their forthcoming multifaceted narrative album Egotoxin, among other new tracks.

The project features numerous new sections and instruments, lining up some of the most talented people from their hometown. Their live show will be a proper spectacle; a show that ignites all of the senses via lights, music, film and theatre!

Egotoxin Art, Actors and so much more will take over the Triffid this September 27. This is the only Boss Moxi Egotoxin Show this year so do not miss it!

Formed in late 2018, Brisbane band Great Sage create stimulating electro-psych music. Their music resembles a spacey outer-world journey filled with electronic sounds, and airy flute solos. Influenced by bands the likes of King Gizzard and MGMT, Great Sage fit perfectly within the jazzy, electro-psych scene.

HRBRT
One of the few bands that manage to make odd time meters groove, instrumental music sing, while presenting sonic textures to the ear that are daringly colourful. It’s almost as if The Mars Volta and Herbie Hancock wrote an album together, HRBRT would be the LoveChild of the two. Excellent musicianship, coupled with robust composition, aided with a powerful live performance makes HRBRT one of the musical gems of Brisbane and indeed Australia.

Requin found their name in the malfunctioning television of a local fish and chip shop. The screen was caught uncontrollably switching between Australian TV quiz ‘Deal or no Deal’ and a French news channel reporting a shark attack (un attaque de requin). In an odd way, the same tension and release between different worlds can be seen in Requin’s creation of intricate, art-focused pop music.
