Join New Wave Hip Hop Brass Band, BULLHORN, at the zoo in Brisbane Saturday February 9th for BULLHORN Mixtape Vol.1!

This will be the first in an epic series of shows where BULLHORN calls upon a some of Australia's finest MC and Vocal talent to join them on stage for re-imaginings of a selection of your favourite Hip Hop and Soul tracks! Classic tracks from Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, Kanye West, Mahalia, Pharoah Monche, A Tribe Called Quest, Beyonce, Jay Z, DJ Kool, Capo Lee, Sir Spyro & Stormzy, D'Angelo and more! As well as guest performances from DNO (Resin Dogs), NERVE - AUS, Master Wolf AKA Skinz, Kudos, Jess Lean (The Brains Trust), Breanna Maria and of course BULLHORN's own Roman MC!

BULLHORN have been working hard on the Australian music scene, performing at festivals and venues all over the country including Splendour In The Grass, Queenscliff Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Falls Festival, Port Fairy Festival, Vivid Sydney, Ocean Street Festival, Mullum Festival, Bello Festival and more. Roman MC, the front man, is intoxicating with his rhythmic word play and massive charismatic stage presence. When his skills are combined with the hard hitting sounds of 7 horns players and 1 bossing drummer the results are awe-inspiring. Their shows are a unique and incredible experience, like no other, and a must to see.

Opening the evening will be Pending?
To free the mind and make the ass follow, comes Pending?. Hastily described as prog cross jazz meeting hip-hop, the four piece line-up from Brisbane bend genres to create anarchy and art through sound. Drawing from the creative consciousness of Shannon Kelly (bass), Joel Aspinall (sax), Sebastian Hetzel (drums), and Nick O’Loughlan (keys), Pending? are a growing name in the local music scene. Having backed international artists such as SBS K-pop Star series 5 winner Lee Soo-jung, and played alongside local acts such as Cheap Fakes, HRBRT, Valtozash, and Hemingways. Having released their debut EP in July 2018, Pending? draw from artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Bad Bad Not Good, and Cornelius to create their signature sound. A creative force to be heard, Pending? will have you dancing and grooving before you have the chance to ask, “what time signature is that?”
